A solar-charging electric cargo scooter with a motor in each wheel, a lockable trunk, and room for two. Everything below comes straight from the build sheet. No mystery parts.

Two motors, one battery, two solar panels. The parts that turn sunshine into miles.

Battery

Lightfoot-designed 52 V lithium-ion pack, 1560 Wh (1.5 kWh), Samsung cells. IP65 sealed; UL 2272 and IEC certified. Lives under the cargo floor, switchable for storage.

Charger

Onboard 230 W IP65 charger, 110 V input, behind the door at the tail. About 90 minutes to 50%, 3 hours to 80%, 4 hours to full. C-19 socket; 26 ft (8 m) cord included.

Solar

Two body-integrated 120 W panels (240 W total) under high-impact laminate on vacuum-formed, ABS-reinforced doors, with one MPPT converter per panel. Up to 18 mi of range a day in full sun; the left side hinges open for cargo access.

Hub motors

Two brushless DC geared hub motors, one per wheel, 48 V · 750 W nominal / 1000 W peak each, each with its own controller. Planetary gear set in high-strength PEEK polymer for stronger regenerative braking.

Power & torque

2 × 1000 W peak. 80 Nm peak per wheel at 50–300 rpm, 160 Nm total.* The motor system spends this on low-end torque for steep hills; top speed is just under 20 mph (32 km/h).

Range

37 mi on a full charge, plus up to 18 mi a day from the panels in full sun. Regenerative braking tops the battery up when you let off the throttle.

Display

High-resolution 2.8 in QVGA waterproof touchscreen: charge status, battery level, light status, speed and other critical information.

Lights

Front: 2000-lumen Lezyne Mega HB, StVZO-certified, with running, daylight and nighttime modes. Rear: accelerometer-activated Lezyne light, StVZO-certified.

Horn

120 dBA. Honk responsibly.

Throttle

Right-hand twist throttle with 45° of throw and spring return for fast, smooth acceleration.

Motorcycle-grade where it matters. Lightfoot-designed where nothing off the shelf would do.

Frame

Hand TIG-welded 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, heat-treated with post-quench alignment. Cables route inside the head tube. Lightfoot-designed; manufactured in Taiwan.

Brakes

Tektro Auriga HD-E540 two-piston hydraulic discs, front and rear, with motor cut-off sensors, plus geared regenerative braking. Rated to 550 lb (250 kg) loading per wheel.

Rotors & pads

Tektro heavy-duty 160 mm × 2.3 mm stainless rotors; 5.0 mm heavy-duty pads.

Front suspension

Lightfoot-exclusive inverted fork: oil-damped coil spring, forged crown and forged dropouts. 70 mm of travel. No torque arm needed.

Rear suspension

Motorcycle-grade coil-over-oil damper with rebound and spring-preload adjustment. 45 mm of travel, 550 lb spring.

Wheels & tires

Lightfoot-designed 10 in die-cast aluminum wheels with heavy-duty 14 × 3.2 in butyl rubber tires and tubes, E-certified, rated to 275 lb per wheel. Run them at 36 psi.

Bar & grips

One-piece aluminum bar and stem, 625 mm wide, internal cable routing, integrated display mount. Molded rubber comfort grips. Sealed angular-contact headset underneath.

Saddle

Lightfoot-designed, seats two: 29.5 × 6.2 in (750 × 158 mm), waterproof cover, polyurethane foam cushioning.

Storage

Lockable internal cargo bay, 1.5 ft³ (45 L), weatherproof and theft-resistant, for up to 44 lb (20 kg) of cargo. Three large grocery bags fit.

Kickstand

Heavy-duty alloy center stand, 205 × 330 mm, rated to 440 lb. Two feet, so it parks level.

Fits in a bike rack, fits two people, fits riders from 5′2″ to 6′2″.

63 × 17.75 × 38.25 in (160 × 45 × 97 cm), length × width × height.

Wheelbase

48 in (122 cm).

Seat height

35 in (89 cm).

Curb weight

141 lb (64 kg).

Max gross weight

420 lb (190 kg): rider, passenger and cargo combined. Maximum rider weight 282 lb (128 kg).
